The 270 being a decent do it all street cam and the 280 a do it all street cam with a sacrifice of streetability= less lower rpm torque and vacuum for more upper rpm power. "In a 350" it's really the first step in cams that shifts the power closer to the upper rpm's. If you have 9.75+ compression (not likely unless you have flat top pistons and the 67-68cc heads) you could go with more cam like the 280 Magnum but even with 202/160 valves it really likes a mild amount of head porting to help it breath. As long as you have around 9.5-9.75 compression then something like the Comp Cams 270 Magnum would work well with those heads, 355 gears and the 4spd.
